Ron Rowe presents in the grounds of The Cedars Estate, Hahndorf, an installation of seven groups of villages arranged in a 7 metre circle depicting the German style building with shingle roofs. They reflect the character and ambience of early German settlement.

The houses and animals were made 30 years ago by some students at the Hahndorf Primary School just before the Ash Wednesday bushfires. The houses survived a firing on the top of Ron's kiln after the fire razed my house and studio to the ground.

It is showing this year in conjuction with SALA and the 175th Anniversary of the settlement of Hahndorf. Also in the grounds are 10 selected sculptures from the 2014 Heysen Sculpture Biennial.
